Community Involvement
Drs. Logan and White have a history of community involvement. Dr. White has volunteered as a youth soccer coach in many of the communities in which he has lived and in medical school Dr. Logan founded the still-thriving Team Cathedral Project, a non-profit which provides athletic game coverage, mentorship, and science education to an underserved high school in Boston. The doctors began COSMO with the belief that they could continue to marry their love for sports and activity with community youth engagement. The Chill Foundation and Denver City Lax are two of the organizations about which they are passionate.
The Chill Foundation
The Chill Foundation was founded in 1995 by Jake and Donna Carpenter, founders of Burton Snowboards. Chill is a positive youth development program where boardsports become a vehicle for empowerment. Revolving around a core value-driven curriculum, Chill programs consistent of experiential learning activities, reflection and discussion, paired with boardsport lessons. Among the many chapters around the world, a robust Denver program exists. Dr. Logan serves on the Executive Board of The Chill Foundation.
Denver City Lax
Denver City Lax creates opportunities for youth in underserved neighborhoods by providing access to lacrosse and then engaging participants in year-round lacrosse training, academic guidance, and enrichment experiences.
